Dr. Osman Ahmed is a consultant Anesthesiologist at Midland Regional Hospital-Tullamore and a fellow of the College of Anesthesiologists, Ireland (FCARCSI, CST). He completed subspecialty fellowship in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia at Cork University Hospital. He then joined a research group at University College Cork, Ireland, completed a two-year research program and received his MD degree in 2017. Dr. Ahmed’s MD thesis is “Procedural skills of ultrasound-guided axillary brachial plexus blockade, a novel form of metric-based simulation training and assessment”. His research focuses on the use of simulation in healthcare for procedural skills training, curriculum development and validation of assessment tools.
