Biography:
Mahmoud Elhefnawy is a Locum Anaesthetic Consultant at NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group, with expertise in perioperative anaesthesia, obstetric anaesthesia, and major general surgery. He holds an MSc in Anaesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care, FRCA, and EDAIC. As Pain Lead at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, he oversees the development and implementation of evidence-based pain management protocols. Dr. Elhefnawy manages a wide range of surgical subspecialties, including colorectal, urology, obstetrics, Gynaecology oncology, robotic, and hepatobiliary surgery. He has presented in perioperative medicine, pain management, and obstetric anaesthesia, advancing patient care across multiple NHS trusts.
