Biography:
Kapil Shriniwas Agrawal, Professor (Addl.) at G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, is known for pioneering rhinoplasty techniques tailored for Indian noses. He developed innovations like the counterbalancing technique, DCUP dorsal strut, papyrus graft, text-neck view, and novel methods for alar reduction and columellar lengthening.
He serves as course director for the Rhinoplasty Society of India and IAAPS. He has authored textbook chapters including:
- Secondary aesthetic rhinoplasty
- Burns of trunk and genitalia
- Building a rhinoplasty practice
- Photography in plastic surgery (under publication)
- Alar base management (under publication)
He has presented globally in masterclasses and has demonstrated live surgeries in operative workshops. He has been honored with the NH Antia Award, Peet Prize, and ISAPS Olympiad Award. A skilled artist, he designs his own diagrams and logos, contributing to the aesthetics of surgical education.
