Biography:
I am a dedicated and accomplished neurosurgeon, born and raised in 1990 in the rural municipality of Ferebet, Gojjam, Ethiopia. My academic journey began at the age of six, where I consistently excelled as a top-ranking student. In 2011, I embarked on my medical education at Jimma University, Ethiopia, and graduated as the third highest scorer in my cohort, a testament to my commitment and hard work. From 2016, I served as a general practitioner and lecturer at Debre Tabor Comprehensive Hospital and Debre Tabor University, where I honed my skills and passion for medicine for two years. In 2019, I took a significant step forward in my career by joining Addis Ababa University to specialize in Neurosurgery, completing my residency in 2024 with great distinction. Throughout my residency, I excelled as a clinician, academician, and researcher, contributing to the field with over 15 scientific publications. To further enhance my expertise, I pursued a short-term fellowship at Dana Dwek Children's Hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel. I am now proud to serve as an assistant professor of Neurosurgery and attending Neurosurgeon at Injibara University, where I continue to make a meaningful impact in the field and in the lives of my patients.
