Title : Application and research progress of gastric cancer organoids in the determination of chemotherapy drug sensitivity
Abstract:
Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor with high morbidity and mortality. Chemotherapy is the first-line treatment for gastric cancer and has achieved remarkable results in the field of gastric cancer treatment. However, due to individual differences and tumor heterogeneity, the effectiveness of chemotherapy drugs varies in different patients. Therefore, accurate assessment of patients' sensitivity to chemotherapy drugs is of great significance for implementing individualized treatment. Gastric cancer organoids are an effective means to predict the sensitivity of patients to chemotherapy drugs. This review summarizes the application of organoids in the determination of chemotherapy drug sensitivity in gastric cancer and related research progress, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of organoid models, and puts forward prospects for future research, hoping that organoids can provide more effective individualized treatment plans and more drug choices for the treatment of gastric cancer.
