Several small incisions in the abdomen are required for laparoscopic surgery. The abdomen is then distended with gas to provide room for the procedure. Your surgeon examines the area with a laparoscope, which has a video camera connected, and visual references on a monitor. To accomplish the procedure, specialized keyhole instruments are implanted. There are numerous advantages to laparoscopic surgery. The incisions are far smaller than those used in open surgery, allowing you to heal faster. Because the incisions are smaller, you will suffer less discomfort and spend less time in the hospital than if you had an open surgery. It takes less time for you to return to work or routine activities.
An endoscopy is a treatment in which your doctor views and operates on your body's interior organs and vessels using specialized devices. It helps doctors to see internal issues without having to make major incisions. An endoscope is inserted through a small cut or an orifice in the body, such as the mouth, by a surgeon. An endoscope is a flexible tube with a camera attached that allows your doctor to see inside your body. On the endoscope, your doctor can operate or extract tissue for biopsy using forceps and scissors. Endoscopy is a procedure that allows your doctor to inspect an organ without making a major incision. The doctor can see what the endoscope sees on a screen in the operating room.
